The Stamps and Postal History of Great British Regions

In 1958 Great Britain commenced a programme of issuing additional definitive stamps for regions of the country, identified by symbols of the areas portrayed. Based on the ‘Wilding’ designs initially and then from 1967, on the standard ‘Machin’ issue, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland continue to have these stamps issued. However, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man became independent postal authorities in 1969 and have produced their own stamps since then.

We offer Great British Regions stamps and stamp collections and complete sets. Also, errors and varieties, proofs, essays, postal history and covers including the first-day covers for this area. Philatelists should regularly visit this page as our auction lots constantly change – just keep your eye on us!
