Don't all shout at once! A good argument at your stamp club for sure. Our vote (at least this month) goes to "NUMBER ONES", meaning the first stamp in the catalogue for any country or other issuing authority no matter how short- lived. Don't just think Mauritius or Swiss Cantonals, instead think for a moment and imagine the possibilities with every country, colony, new breakaway area or republic, strange civil war authorities, local issues, occupation stamps plus so much more. The more you look, the more you find and such a collection is a feast for the historically – minded. We have no idea just how large such a collection could become if everything was hunted down and displayed together – it would be an impressive sight with several 1000 stamps!
