MONTSERRAT - 1930 POSTPONED FIRST FLIGHT COVER (20 June) airmail cover to USA, bearing ½d & 1s stamps tied by 'Montserrat' cds cancel, plus violet boxed 'FIRST AIR MAIL MONTSERRAT' cachet alongside and 'St Kitts 23 FE 31' transit cds on reverse. The flight was postponed and the mail was finally flown to St Kitts in February 1931 by a seaplane from H.M.S. Dorsetshire. The covers were then forwarded by surface mail to their original destinations.
